Empowering a New Generation for Missions: The Livingstone School of Missions (LSM) – Tertiary 2nd Bach, organized by OneWay Africa, recently hosted its second cohort of 2024 at The Philip Centre - West. Fourteen participants from various Ghanaian institutions joined this intensive weeklong program, covering topics like Introduction to Missions, Apologetics, Theology of Missions, and Practical Evangelism. During an evangelism outreach, 119 people were engaged with the Gospel, resulting in 24 commitments to Christ.
Founded in 2005, LSM aims to equip young believers with a passion for missions. The training included field trips to historical sites, documentary viewings, and a nightly prayer chain for unreached people groups worldwide. Though limited by time and some scheduling challenges, participants left with a renewed drive for evangelism, adopting an unreached people group for consistent prayer.
Student ReflectionsStudents shared how LSM changed their outlook on missions:
“My zeal for missions has come alive.”
“Missions is not only for pastors; it’s for every believer.”
Next StepsInspired students plan to:
Host outreach seminars in their churches.
Engage in street evangelism and discipleship efforts.
Organize annual mission trips.
This impactful training has laid a strong foundation for these young leaders, mobilizing them to carry the mission forward with passion.
